You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems at scale — you've owned services from design through deployment and have a deep understanding of how to create reliable and maintainable backend solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments — aligning with product, design, and frontend partners to solve complex customer problems is second nature to you. You understand the importance of self-service capabilities in reducing support dependency and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your experience with subscription and billing systems gives you a unique perspective on how to simplify complex journeys for users.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Account & Billing Integrations team, you will own major backend domains and services that power the Account & Billing hub. This includes designing and implementing APIs, workflows, and data models that deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure systems. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and frontend teams to ensure that the solutions you build effectively address customer needs, such as subscription changes and billing comprehension.

You will be responsible for shipping scalable and maintainable backend code, focusing on reliability and performance. Your role will involve not only coding but also mentoring junior engineers and participating in code reviews to uphold the team's high standards. You will engage in cross-functional programs that simplify complex subscription journeys, ensuring that customers have a seamless experience managing their accounts and billing.
