Overview
Inspiren is hiring a Staff Embedded Systems Engineer to lead silicon strategy and selection for next-generation products. You'll work with embedded systems and hardware-software integration, focusing on System-on-Chip (SoC) landscapes. This position requires expertise in evaluating silicon platforms and vendor ecosystems.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a high-caliber Staff Embedded Systems Engineer with a specialization in the System-on-Chip (SoC) landscape β you understand the nuances, pitfalls, and hidden costs of different silicon ecosystems. Your experience in embedded systems development has equipped you with the skills to architect hardware-software integration effectively. You are not just a firmware developer; you are the primary technical authority for evaluating and abstracting software stacks across various silicon platforms. Your deep-seated opinions on vendor ecosystems, toolchains, and Board Support Packages (BSPs) guide your decision-making process.
You have a strong background in evaluating application processors for next-generation products β you can compare performance, power, thermals, and long-term support (LTS) across vendors like Qualcomm, TI, MediaTek, Rockchip, and Analog Devices. Your ability to articulate why one vendorβs SDK is superior to another is a key strength that you bring to the team. You thrive in collaborative environments where your insights can drive product roadmaps and influence strategic decisions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the silicon strategy and selection process for Inspiren's next-generation products β you will evaluate application processors and provide honest assessments of vendor offerings. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the product roadmap, ensuring that the chosen silicon platforms align with the company's vision for integrated solutions in senior living. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product managers, to ensure that the integration of hardware and software meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge of embedded systems and silicon evaluation β your leadership will help foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering team. As you navigate the complexities of hardware-software integration, you will contribute to the development of solutions that enhance the quality of care provided to residents and staff in senior living communities.
What we offer
Inspiren values the contributions of its team members and offers a compensation package designed to reflect the standards of leading organizations in the field. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development. We believe in the power of technology to improve lives, and your work will directly impact the quality of care in senior living communities. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement β your unique perspective and skills could be the perfect fit for our team.
