Your technical expertise includes proficiency in AWS and Docker, and you are comfortable working with programming languages such as Python and Java. You have experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and are skilled at fostering collaboration across various departments to achieve security objectives.

You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about building a culture of security awareness within the organization and enjoy mentoring team members to enhance their security knowledge.

Desirable

Experience with application security frameworks and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance standards relevant to the industry. You are proactive in staying updated on the latest security threats and trends, and you are eager to implement best practices to mitigate risks.

What you'll do

As the Senior Security Engineering Manager, you will own the security of Intercom's software development lifecycle. This includes defining security controls and guardrails that enable engineering teams to develop secure applications while maintaining agility. You will lead a team of security engineers, providing guidance and support as they implement security measures across various projects.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to integrate security into the development process from the outset. This involves conducting security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering security training programs to enhance the security posture of the organization.

In addition, you will monitor security incidents and respond to threats, ensuring that appropriate measures are in place to protect Intercom's systems and data. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and you will play a key role in shaping the overall security strategy for the company.
