Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in enterprise security engineering, with a strong focus on architecting security solutions that protect sensitive data and corporate infrastructure. Your hands-on experience in cloud-native environments has equipped you with the skills to implement robust security measures effectively.
You possess deep expertise in threat detection and automation, having developed advanced detection logic and refined alerting mechanisms in SIEM platforms. Your familiarity with SOAR tools allows you to build efficient automation playbooks that significantly reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Respond (MTTR).
Your knowledge of identity governance and access control principles is extensive, and you are adept at defining and enforcing strong IAM practices, including Least Privilege and Zero Trust models. You have experience working with identity governance platforms, ensuring secure authentication and authorization across the enterprise.
You are proactive in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, IT, and Compliance, to embed security best practices early in the development lifecycle. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key strength.
Desirable
Experience managing email security using platforms like Material Security is a plus, as is familiarity with reviewing post-delivery detections and analyzing mailbox activity. You are a team player who takes ownership of complex challenges and thrives in a focused security team environment.
What you'll do
In this role, you will architect and execute the end-to-end security pipeline, ensuring that Navan's security posture is robust and effective. You will develop advanced detection logic and refine alerting in SIEM platforms to enhance threat detection capabilities.
You will define and enforce strong IAM principles, contributing to identity governance platforms to ensure secure access across the organization. Your work will involve strengthening email security by managing alerts and workflows in platforms like Material Security, improving automated responses to suspicious messages.
You will actively participate in incident reviews, contributing to process improvements and ensuring that security controls align with business risk objectives. Your leadership will be critical in fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organization.
What we offer
Navan offers a dynamic work environment where your contributions will directly impact the security of our corporate travel and expense management solutions. You will be part of a small, focused security team that values collaboration and innovation.
We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. Your passion for security and commitment to excellence will be valued as we work together to enhance our security posture and protect our users.
