You have extensive experience in managing data center operations, ensuring high availability and operational excellence across multiple facilities. Your leadership skills enable you to effectively manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders, including internal infrastructure and application teams.

You possess a strong technical background in modern infrastructure platforms, including software-defined storage and converged infrastructure. Your familiarity with Kubernetes and VMware allows you to support containerized environments effectively.

You are adept at incident management and root cause analysis, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. Your ability to maintain and enforce standard operating procedures and access protocols is crucial in ensuring compliance and security within the data center.

You have a proven track record of managing relationships with colocation providers and ensuring the reliability of critical systems such as power, cooling, and network connectivity. Your strategic approach to operations management helps in optimizing resources and improving overall efficiency.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure management is a plus. Familiarity with incident response protocols and disaster recovery planning will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As the Data Center Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of one or more colocation data center facilities, acting as the primary operational point of contact. You will coordinate remote hands and maintenance windows with colocation providers to ensure seamless operations.

Your role will involve leading incident management efforts, conducting root cause analyses, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues. You will maintain and enforce standard operating procedures, runbooks, and escalation paths to ensure operational consistency.

You will support enterprise infrastructure platforms, including Dell PowerFlex and Nutanix, while partnering with Systems, Platform, and Cloud teams to manage hardware lifecycle events and capacity expansions. Your expertise in Kubernetes will be essential in managing containerized environments effectively.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of critical data center resources, including power, cooling, and network connectivity. Your leadership will guide the operations staff and vendors in achieving operational excellence.
