What you'll do

As a Distinguished Developer in the SQL Engine group, you will play a pivotal role in building the next-generation query processing stack. You will be responsible for optimizing query parsing, validation, and transformation processes, ensuring they meet the demands of both traditional analytics and emerging AI-driven workloads. You will design logical and physical optimization strategies over multi-model data, including row, columnar, stream, document, and vector data types. Your work will involve generating execution plans and adaptive execution strategies that enhance performance and efficiency. You will also focus on code generation and vectorized execution, implementing compiler-accelerated storage access patterns tailored for AI workflows. Collaboration will be key as you integrate your work with the multi-model storage engine, ensuring seamless functionality and performance across the platform.
