Security Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You are an experienced Senior Security Engineer with a proven track record in security architecture and engineering. You have hands-on experience in multiple security domains, including cloud security, application security, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable coding in languages such as Ruby on Rails, Go, and JavaScript. You have a strong understanding of security solutions and are adept at managing company security postures.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about building secure systems and have experience in enhancing security measures within an organization. You are adaptable and eager to learn, always looking for ways to improve security practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the Security Architecture & Engineering function at Justworks. You will collaborate closely with the Security Operations and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) teams to ensure a robust security posture. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing security solutions that protect the organization’s data and infrastructure. You will also conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

You will work on developing security policies and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices. Additionally, you will mentor junior security engineers and contribute to their professional development. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest security threats and trends, ensuring that Justworks remains proactive in its security measures.
