Who you are
You have a strong background in designing consumer-facing mobile products, particularly for iOS and Android platforms. With 5+ years of experience in product design, you understand the nuances of user engagement and retention, especially in areas like storytelling and user-generated content. Your expertise in visual and interaction design allows you to create seamless experiences that resonate with users globally. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating intuitive user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
Desirable
Experience with international checkout experiences is a plus, as is familiarity with video and payment integrations in mobile applications. You are proficient in design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD, and you stay updated on the latest design trends and best practices in mobile design.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the full design lifecycle for Kickstarter's mobile apps, leading the design efforts for both iOS and Android platforms. You will define interaction and visual design standards, ensuring that all designs align with user needs and business goals. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will create user-centric experiences that drive engagement and retention. You will conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform your design decisions. Additionally, you will iterate on designs based on feedback and analytics, continuously improving the user experience. Your work will directly impact how users interact with Kickstarter's platform, helping to bring creative projects to life.
