You have a strong background in engineering management with a proven track record of leading teams — your experience includes motivating and inspiring engineers to adopt new technologies and improve processes. You possess deep technical knowledge in modern programming languages and frameworks, including Python, Golang, and JavaScript, which allows you to engage with your teams effectively. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and can leverage insights to enhance instructional materials and digital learning experiences.
You thrive in collaborative environments and have excellent communication skills — you can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster a culture of transparency and trust within your teams. Your leadership style is inclusive, and you prioritize the professional growth of your team members, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
Desirable
Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, is a plus, as is familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. You may also have a background in educational technology or a passion for improving student outcomes through innovative solutions.
What you'll do
As a Senior Engineering Manager at Kiddom, you will report directly to the VP of Engineering and lead multiple teams of talented engineers — your role will involve strategic planning and technical leadership to scale Kiddom's systems and processes effectively. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of high-quality software solutions that empower educators and enhance student learning experiences.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to align engineering efforts with business goals — your insights will help shape the product roadmap and ensure that technical solutions meet user needs. You will also be involved in hiring and mentoring engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within your teams.
Your technical expertise will be crucial as you tackle challenging problems and implement modern technologies — you will guide your teams in adopting best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment processes. You will also play a key role in driving the adoption of AI capabilities within the organization, ensuring that Kiddom remains at the forefront of educational technology.
