You have experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and are proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Your technical expertise is complemented by strong leadership skills, allowing you to guide teams in implementing best practices for reliability and performance. You are passionate about continuous improvement and have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users.

What you'll do

As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Klaviyo, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for the SRE team and leading the reliability strategy for our most critical platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and sustainable, enabling rapid product development across the company. Your role will involve designing, building, and operating foundational infrastructure and services, as well as defining reliability standards that align with our business goals.

You will lead initiatives to reduce operational toil through automation and continuously improve our systems based on production learnings. Your work will be highly visible and will directly influence how Klaviyo builds software and how customers experience our platform every day. You will mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of reliability and excellence within the team. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that reliability is integrated into the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
