Overview

Klue is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to build and optimize LLM-powered agents for competitive intelligence. You'll work with Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch to design retrieval-augmented generation systems. This position requires strong backend and ML fundamentals.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a solid foundation in machine learning and backend development — your experience includes designing and implementing scalable systems that leverage advanced algorithms to solve complex problems. You are comfortable working with large datasets and have a keen interest in optimizing workflows through automation.

You possess strong programming skills in Python and are familiar with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch — you understand the intricacies of model training, evaluation, and deployment. Your analytical mindset allows you to experiment with various techniques to improve system performance and user experience.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with product managers and engineers — you thrive in environments where you can share ideas and contribute to the overall success of the project. Your communication skills enable you to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with retrieval-augmented generation systems or similar technologies would be a plus — you are eager to learn and adapt to new methodologies that enhance the capabilities of machine learning applications. Familiarity with evaluation metrics such as recall, MRR, and nDCG will help you contribute effectively to the team's goals.

What you'll do

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Klue, you will design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that refine query understanding and document retrieval — your work will directly impact how users interact with our competitive intelligence tools. You will build and optimize retrieval pipelines using techniques like BM25 and dense retrieval, ensuring that our systems deliver high-quality, relevant information efficiently.

You will develop evaluation pipelines for both retrieval and generation processes — this includes defining offline metrics and conducting human-in-the-loop evaluations to assess system performance. Your role will involve experimenting with query rewriting and classification to enhance retrieval relevance, making sure our solutions align with user intent.

Collaboration is key in this role — you will work closely with product teams to bring ML-powered search agents into production, ensuring that the solutions you develop meet user needs and business objectives. You will also profile, debug, and optimize the latency and accuracy of our systems, contributing to a seamless user experience.

What we offer

At Klue, we foster a culture of innovation and collaboration — you will be part of a dynamic team that values creativity and encourages professional growth. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies in the field of competitive intelligence. Join us as we redefine how organizations leverage insights to stay ahead in their markets.
