5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems — you've designed and implemented scalable services that handle millions of requests and understand the intricacies of distributed systems. What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you will design, develop, and maintain the search infrastructure and notification systems that power Kong's product discovery and analytics capabilities. You will be responsible for building and optimizing services that deliver real-time alerts and updates across the platform, ensuring that they are scalable and efficient.
You will also work on developing Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools that enhance Kong's AI platform capabilities, contributing to the overall architecture and design of the system. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, as well as participating in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help shape the technical direction of the team.
