You have extensive experience in firmware development, particularly with Embedded Linux, C, and C++. Your background includes working on hardware products and understanding the full lifecycle of firmware from design to post-production enhancements. You are skilled in creating scalable and secure solutions that integrate seamlessly with mobile and cloud technologies. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. You possess strong problem-solving skills and are passionate about building products that enhance everyday family life.
Desirable
Experience with IoT devices or mobile applications is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a strong understanding of hardware-software integration will set you apart. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving needs of the team.
What you'll do
As a Staff Firmware Engineer at Life360, you will lead the firmware development for our innovative hardware products. You will collaborate closely with the Firmware Team to design, implement, and enhance firmware solutions that meet the needs of our users. Your role will involve working on the integration of firmware with mobile applications and cloud services, ensuring a seamless user experience. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and optimizing existing firmware, contributing to the overall performance and reliability of our products. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and help foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
