Job Description
Who you are
You have experience as a Service Technician, ideally with a focus on electric powertrains and RV components. Your background includes diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems, and you are comfortable working with both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) power distribution systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to the development of service procedures and technical documentation for a growing team.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, which allows you to effectively troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. Your ability to communicate technical information clearly is essential, as you will be working closely with both customers and team members. You are adaptable and willing to travel up to 25-50% of the time to service vehicles in the field or at customer sites.
What you'll do
As a Service Technician at Lightship, you will be one of the first technicians dedicated to servicing the all-electric travel trailer, the AE.1. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing electric powertrains, as well as HV and LV power distribution systems. You will also work on traditional RV components, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. In addition to hands-on repairs, you will help develop service procedures and technical documentation to support the growing Service Operations team.
You will collaborate with engineers and other technicians to identify common issues and develop solutions that enhance the customer experience. Your role will involve direct interaction with customers, providing them with updates on service progress and addressing any concerns they may have. You will also participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and service techniques relevant to electric vehicles.
What we offer
Lightship offers a dynamic work environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the electric vehicle industry, contributing to a sustainable future. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
