Lindblad Expeditions is hiring a Captain for the National Geographic Venture to ensure the safety of the vessel and oversee all crew operations. This role requires strong maritime safety knowledge and adherence to regulations.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in commanding vessels and ensuring the safety of both crew and passengers. Your primary concern is maritime safety and the protection of the marine environment, and you are well-versed in the regulations set forth by the USCG, SOLAS, and other international conventions. You understand the importance of compliance with laws of both the US and foreign countries, and you take these responsibilities seriously. You have a proven track record of managing crew operations effectively and ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain the highest safety standards.

What you'll do

As the Captain of the National Geographic Venture, you will be responsible for the overall safety of the vessel and the well-being of all crew members. You will oversee all operations on board, ensuring that every action taken aligns with the interests of Lindblad Expeditions. Your role will involve direct supervision of the crew, ensuring that they are trained and prepared for any situation that may arise. You will also be responsible for navigating the vessel through some of the world's most remote and pristine locations, providing guests with an unforgettable experience while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of safety and compliance among the crew, and you will be the key decision-maker in all matters related to the vessel's operations.
