Who you are
You are a Senior Data Engineer with a passion for programming and large-scale data processing. You have experience working with data pipelines and are comfortable collaborating with data scientists to enhance their workflows. Your technical skills include proficiency in Scala and experience with Apache Spark, which you have used to build efficient data processing frameworks.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy engaging with cross-functional teams. Your background includes working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and you understand the intricacies of managing data on Hadoop clusters. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing new features in data processing frameworks.
What you'll do
As part of the Compute Infrastructure team, you will operate and implement new features in the data processing framework. You will engage with data scientists to identify ways to improve their data workflows and enhance the overall efficiency of the data pipeline. Your role will involve orchestrating a compute environment that simplifies the execution of Spark jobs, ensuring high resource utilization and stability.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a complex analytical data processing pipeline that is integral to the company's products. This will require you to work closely with teams in Copenhagen, Berlin, and New York, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across locations. You will also be involved in scaling the compute infrastructure dynamically to handle varying workloads effectively.
