You have 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on backend development. You understand the importance of writing well-crafted, maintainable code and can explain the trade-offs made in architectural decisions. Your experience includes participating in code reviews and ensuring code quality across the team. You are proactive in resolving ongoing incidents and can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to achieve results. You enjoy sharing your knowledge through tech talks and mentoring others, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
What you'll do
In this role, you will help define the roadmap and architecture for Lyft's Stations Software Platform, ensuring it meets both technology and business needs. You will write well-tested, readable code that is maintainable and scalable. You will lead projects from conception to execution, incorporating business context and failure modes into your work. Your responsibilities will include participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge with your team, and actively contributing to the improvement of engineering best practices. You will see the direct impact of your work on the efficiency of Lyft's operating teams and the experience of riders.
What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range of CAD $88,000 - CAD $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
