Desirable

Experience in HR/employee data management and data governance is a plus. Familiarity with incident response and contractual arrangements for data under commercial services agreements will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are proactive in identifying potential compliance issues and are skilled at implementing solutions that align with business objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Data Protection Team at Meta, overseeing a portfolio that includes advising on data governance, incident response, and international data transfers. You will be responsible for ensuring that Meta's products and services comply with global regulatory obligations, particularly in the EU and UK. Your leadership will guide the team in managing legal and compliance risks effectively, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that align with Meta's business goals while ensuring compliance with data protection laws. Your role will involve mentoring and developing your team, helping them grow in their legal careers while navigating the complexities of data protection. You will also be responsible for establishing key partnerships within the organization to facilitate effective compliance management.
