Overview

Meta is hiring a Senior Sustainability Engineering Program Manager to lead the strategic direction and execution of sustainability initiatives within the Data Center Design, Engineering, and Construction organization. This role requires strong program management skills and technical expertise to achieve net zero emissions and sustainability goals.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in program management, particularly in sustainability initiatives, and a proven track record of driving complex projects from conception to execution. Your ability to collaborate across various teams ensures that you can align sustainability goals with broader business objectives. You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to leverage data to inform decision-making and drive innovation in sustainability practices.

You are adept at managing multiple stakeholders and can effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Your experience in the engineering or construction sectors gives you a solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities in implementing sustainable practices in data centers. You are passionate about sustainability and are committed to making a positive impact through your work.

Desirable

Experience with LEED certification processes or similar sustainability frameworks would be a plus. Familiarity with climate resiliency strategies and water positivity initiatives is also desirable. You have a network of contacts in the sustainability field, which can help facilitate partnerships and collaborations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of sustainability engineering programs that align with Meta's corporate net zero and sustainability goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering solutions meet stakeholder needs while fostering innovation. Your responsibilities will include managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.

You will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of sustainability initiatives, ensuring that they are integrated into the overall engineering and construction processes. You will lead efforts to adopt LEED standards and other sustainability certifications, working with teams to ensure compliance and successful implementation.
