Metabase is seeking a Global Community Events Manager to scale and grow in-person community connections through events. You'll handle logistics, venue bookings, and community engagement across various cities in the US. This role requires strong organizational skills and a passion for community building.

You have a strong background in event management and community engagement, with experience organizing successful events that foster connections among participants. You understand the importance of in-person interactions and have a knack for turning ideas into reality — whether it's a casual meetup or a large-scale event. You are detail-oriented and can manage logistics, from booking venues to coordinating food and materials, ensuring that every aspect of the event runs smoothly. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to create memorable experiences for attendees.
Desirable
Experience in the tech industry or with data-related events is a plus, as is familiarity with community-building strategies that engage diverse audiences. You are comfortable using various tools to manage event planning and communication, and you have a creative mindset that allows you to come up with innovative ideas for events that resonate with the community.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for scaling Metabase's community events across the United States. You will identify new cities and opportunities for events, transforming ideas into actionable plans that bring people together. Your responsibilities will include booking venues, managing logistics, and ensuring that all necessary materials and swag are prepared for each event. You will collaborate closely with Success Engineers to ensure they have everything they need to engage with customers effectively. You will also gather feedback from participants to continuously improve future events and enhance community engagement.
