Who you are
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building scalable backend systems. Your expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and React allows you to create delightful user experiences while ensuring robust backend functionality. You are naturally curious and stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in FinTech, which helps you innovate and improve existing systems.
You have a strong understanding of payment processing and financial systems, having worked with APIs that handle millions of requests. Your experience in debugging and monitoring tools equips you to investigate and resolve issues efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy taking ownership of projects from end to end, making impactful decisions that align with both technical and business goals.
Desirable
Experience in Finance or FinTech is a plus, as is familiarity with building data pipelines and knowledge of payment rails such as ACH and RTP. Any DevOps experience with AWS, Cloudflare, and CI/CD tools will further enhance your candidacy.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Method Financial, you will be responsible for building and scaling our core API, which processes a significant volume of transactions daily. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement features that enhance user connectivity to financial accounts. Your role will involve creating reliable backend services using Node.js and crafting engaging user interfaces with React.
You will also investigate and debug issues using our monitoring and logging tools, ensuring that our systems run smoothly and efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience, as you will help maintain high standards of performance and reliability in our applications. You will have the autonomy to make technical decisions while collaborating with your team to achieve shared goals.
