Who you are
You are an experienced game developer with a strong background in software engineering, particularly in online services. You have a deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and are comfortable implementing features based on existing design specifications as well as creating and documenting your own. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality gaming experiences.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can adapt to the flexible roles within the studio. Your passion for gaming and commitment to innovation drive you to contribute to the next generation of the Halo franchise. You understand the importance of meeting project goals and timelines while maintaining a high standard of quality in your work.
Desirable
Experience with multiplayer game development and online service architecture would be a plus. Familiarity with the Halo franchise or similar gaming universes can enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across Halo Studios to design, implement, and maintain online client features for a new Halo FPS. You will work closely with artists, designers, and other engineers to ensure that the game features align with the overall vision of the franchise. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative solutions that enhance gameplay and user experience, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing existing features.
You will also participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and share insights on best practices in game development. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the project, and you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the game through your technical expertise and creative input.
