Overview
Microsoft is hiring a Critical Environment Technician to maintain the critical infrastructure of their datacenters. You'll be involved in monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support cloud services. This role is based in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Job Description
Who you are
As a Critical Environment Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports Microsoft's cloud services. You will be responsible for performing basic monitoring and inspection, conducting various types of maintenance, and participating in equipment troubleshooting. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety and security requirements will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our datacenters.
You will also be involved in developing methods of operating procedures (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team of subject matter experts will help support services for over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide.
What you'll do
In this role, you will help maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our datacenters operational. This includes performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols. You will contribute to the development of operating procedures that guide the team in maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally. Your role will involve monitoring equipment performance and identifying areas for improvement. You will also participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in datacenter operations.
