Who you are

You are a QA Engineer with a strong scientific background, ideally holding a PhD in a relevant field such as computational biology or a related discipline. You understand the drug development lifecycle and have hands-on experience with omics data, which is crucial for evaluating the biological relevance of outputs. Your experience includes creating automated tests for complex workflows and ensuring the reliability of software systems. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for maintaining high standards in software quality. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and software engineering.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD systems and monitoring tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data analysis and validation techniques. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by the impact of your work on scientific breakthroughs. You have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and are skilled in writing test cases that cover a wide range of scenarios. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the quality assurance process.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building the test, validation, and monitoring infrastructure for Mithrl's AI Co-Scientist. You will create automated tests for analysis workflows, ingestion pipelines, and discovery applications, ensuring that every module produces scientifically valid and reproducible outputs. You will work closely with scientists and software engineers to understand the requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies. Your role will involve setting up CI systems that catch regressions early and implementing monitoring and alerting for system behavior. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development process.
