As an aspiring Offensive Security Engineer, you have a foundational understanding of security principles and practices. You are eager to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity, particularly in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. You think like an attacker, which allows you to identify potential security risks effectively. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering and Security Operations, to ensure that security is integrated into the development process. You are detail-oriented and have a strong desire to contribute to a secure and resilient platform.
Desirable
Familiarity with OWASP guidelines and best practices is a plus. Experience with cloud services and security tools will help you excel in this role. A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new security challenges will set you apart.
What you'll do
In your role as an Offensive Security Engineer I, you will plan and execute security assessments across various platforms, including web applications, APIs, and cloud services. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct penetration testing that matters, focusing on realistic attack scenarios to identify vulnerabilities. You will work closely with the Product Engineering team to ensure that security considerations are integrated into the development lifecycle. After identifying vulnerabilities, you will collaborate with Security Engineering and Security Operations to drive issues from discovery through to resolution and verification.
You will also participate in security training and awareness programs, helping to foster a culture of security within the organization. Your insights will be crucial in shaping security policies and practices that protect both Mollie and its customers.
