Who you are

You have a degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture. You are proficient in C++ or a similar programming language and have experience building production-level code with a large user base, ensuring robust design structure and rigorous code quality. You have a passion for running teams, mentorship, and coaching, and you thrive in environments where you can help others grow.

You have experience managing small engineering teams, ensuring their success, aiding their career growth, and facilitating their technical work. You understand the importance of team culture and set an example for your team, focusing on their overall happiness and productivity. You are comfortable providing feedback on system architecture and the design of new features, ensuring that your team is aligned with the product roadmap.

Desirable

Experience with transactional, time-series, and analytical workloads is a plus. You are familiar with technical processes and have a track record of improving them within your teams. You are eager to contribute to planning for organizational growth, including allocation of engineering resources and future hiring plans.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage a team of software engineers, responsible for ensuring their success and aiding their career growth. You will make coding contributions to the team’s projects as needed, providing hands-on support and guidance. You will help eliminate technical barriers and coordinate with other teams regarding dependencies, ensuring that projects run smoothly.

You will contribute to planning for organizational growth, including the allocation of engineering resources and future hiring plans. You will set the team culture by example, fostering an environment where engineers feel supported and empowered to do their best work. You will also be involved in mentoring team members, helping them navigate their career paths and develop their technical skills.
