Who you are

You have over 10 years of technical consulting experience in Principal-level roles, ideally in a Field CTO capacity or Solutions Architecture. Your background includes deep hands-on experience implementing enterprise-scale RDBMS, MongoDB, or other database solutions. You are recognized as a technical leader and have a proven track record of enterprise project ownership and team collaboration.

You possess exceptional communication skills, allowing you to engage and influence executives and technical decision-makers at Fortune 1000 companies. You are adept at creating awareness and understanding of products, and you thrive in environments where you can advocate for customer needs and influence product roadmaps. Your ability to gather feedback and assess customer sentiment is key to your success in this role.

You are passionate about technology and stay updated on industry trends and competitors' offerings. Your expertise in MongoDB's product and solutions enables you to develop and deliver technical engagements and targeted education sessions effectively. You enjoy representing your company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical events, contributing to thought leadership through blog posts, whitepapers, and speaking engagements.

Desirable

Experience in developer advocacy or enterprise consulting is a plus. Familiarity with modernizing legacy applications and building GenAI applications will set you apart. You are comfortable working closely with sales teams and have a collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork and innovation.

What you'll do

In this pivotal role, you will drive the adoption of MongoDB among strategic customers by engaging with senior technical leadership. You will work closely with the Strategic Developer Relations team, which consists of senior engineers with deep MongoDB experience, to develop and deliver technical engagements and targeted education sessions. Your role will involve gathering feedback from customers to influence the product roadmap and advocate for their needs.

You will represent MongoDB at various industry conferences and technical events, showcasing your expertise and contributing to thought leadership. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining deep technical expertise in MongoDB's products and solutions, as well as staying informed about industry trends and competitors' offerings.

You will engage and influence executives and technical decision-makers at Fortune 1000 companies, creating awareness and understanding of MongoDB's products. Your ability to assess customer sentiment will be crucial in shaping the direction of MongoDB's offerings. You will also contribute to the development of educational materials and resources that help customers understand how to leverage MongoDB effectively.
