What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer III at Monzo, you will play a crucial role in designing and building our in-house banking platform. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop features that enhance our customers' banking experience. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust APIs that support our various banking products. You will work on optimizing our backend systems for performance and scalability, ensuring that we can handle increasing user demands. You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of our services. Your contributions will directly impact the way our customers interact with their finances, making banking simpler and more accessible.
