Who you are

You are currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field — your academic background has equipped you with a solid foundation in the principles of machine learning and robotics. You are proficient in Python and/or C++, which you have used in coursework or projects related to computer vision and machine learning. Your familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow allows you to effectively implement and experiment with various models. You have experience working with structured or unstructured sensor data, including images, video, and point clouds, which is crucial for the tasks at hand.

What you'll do

As a Perception Intern, you will support the design and implementation of end-to-end models for autonomous driving, focusing on perception-to-planning systems. You will analyze multi-modal sensor data, such as images, video, lidar, and radar, to improve model performance and robustness. Conducting experiments to evaluate and benchmark different model designs will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to contribute to the advancement of autonomous driving technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate model outputs into downstream decision-making systems, ensuring that your work has a direct impact on the development of autonomous vehicles. Documenting experiments, model designs, and results in clear and reproducible formats will also be essential to maintain transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
