With your extensive experience, you have tackled critical problem areas such as detection, classification, segmentation, and tracking. You understand the unique challenges of safety-critical, open-world applications and are committed to ensuring engineering excellence and rigorous evaluation. You are driven by the impact of your work and take initiative to own outcomes, eager to apply your skills to the perception stack of self-driving vehicles.

You possess a deep understanding of essential supporting functions such as data engines, labeling policies, training pipelines, model optimization, simulation, and testing. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, and you are adept at devising creative solutions to complex problems. You thrive in environments where you can lead the development and implementation of solutions that span across perception components and directly interface with downstream modules in the autonomy system.

Desirable

Experience with synthetic data generation and advanced data mining techniques would be a plus. You are familiar with the latest advancements in the field and are always looking for ways to innovate and improve existing systems.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of solutions that enhance the perception capabilities of self-driving vehicles. You will analyze the performance of the perception subsystem to proactively identify potential limitations and document any hazards, leading cross-team efforts to eliminate or mitigate them. Your work will directly impact the product, and you will collaborate with capability-focused teams to design, implement, and validate end-to-end solutions.

You will be responsible for addressing long tail challenges in perception systems, developing techniques that push the boundaries of what is possible in autonomous driving. Your expertise will guide the team in creating robust and reliable perception systems that ensure safety and efficiency in real-world applications.
