You are a seasoned engineer with a strong background in computer vision and machine learning, particularly in the context of autonomous vehicles. Your experience includes developing software for geometric computer vision, where you've tackled challenges such as camera calibration and feature detection. You are excited about Level 4 autonomous driving technology and are eager to contribute to projects that have a positive social impact.

You have a proven track record of leading complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your technical expertise allows you to define and execute mapping projects that improve the capabilities of self-driving vehicles. You thrive in environments that challenge your intellect and push the boundaries of technology.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define, lead, and execute computer vision-based mapping projects that enhance the self-driving capabilities of our vehicles. You will develop methods to monitor environmental changes and update maps accordingly, ensuring that our vehicles can localize themselves accurately in real-time. Your work will involve integrating visual maps with LIDAR-derived maps to create consistent and reliable world maps.

You will collaborate closely with teams focused on LIDAR-based localization and mapping, as well as perception teams, to improve the on-road performance of our vehicles. Your contributions will be critical in productionizing and deploying solutions onto autonomous vehicle fleets, making a tangible impact on the future of transportation.
