Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience as a senior software engineer, with a strong background in designing and building data infrastructure. Your expertise includes working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and you are comfortable with both relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake. You are proficient in programming languages like Python, Golang, Java, or C++, and you understand the intricacies of data processing and governance.
You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working closely with machine learning and data science teams to understand their data needs. Your ability to influence the data team's roadmap and lead projects is a key strength. You are committed to building secure and compliant data management solutions, ensuring data governance practices are followed.
Desirable
Experience with orchestration platforms like Temporal and Airflow is a plus, as is familiarity with real-time and offline processing pipelines. You are eager to contribute to innovative AI-enhanced technology and have a passion for making data accessible to various stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and operate highly performant and scalable batch and stream data processing infrastructure to support day-to-day machine learning operations. You will develop foundational data models and data warehouses, creating real-time and offline processing pipelines using tools like AWS EMR Spark and Apache Kafka. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of machine learning training, serving, evaluation, and experimental systems.
You will closely collaborate with machine learning and data science teams to understand their data requirements and lead various projects that enhance data accessibility and governance. Building a data governance platform for secure data management will be one of your key responsibilities, including services for data cataloging, lineage, audit, deletion, and masking.
Additionally, you will build and operate an orchestration platform that enables other teams to develop features and workflows efficiently. Your contributions will help make data available for customer-facing products and various internal stakeholders, ensuring that Moveworks continues to deliver innovative solutions to its clients.
