What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Localization Team, you will contribute to various projects that enhance the localization of Mozilla's products. You will work on Pontoon, our Django-based Translation Management System, ensuring it meets the needs of our global community of localizers. Your role will involve developing and maintaining open-source libraries like moz-l10n, which are essential for efficient localization processes.

You will engage with the development of internationalization features that shape the user experience of Firefox and other Mozilla products. This includes implementing standards such as Unicode MessageFormat, which is crucial for displaying content correctly in multiple languages. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify localization needs and propose solutions that align with Mozilla's mission.

Your contributions will directly impact how users interact with Mozilla's products worldwide, making the internet more accessible and user-friendly. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the team.

Mozilla offers a competitive salary range of €65,000—€87,000 EUR for this remote position in the Netherlands.
