What you'll do
As a Staff Engineer, Front End, you will lead the development of user interfaces for Thunderbird, focusing on creating seamless experiences for over 20 million users. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features that enhance user engagement and productivity.
You will be responsible for architecting and optimizing frontend components, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable. Your role will involve conducting code reviews, providing mentorship to junior engineers, and advocating for best practices in frontend development.
You will also engage with the open-source community, gathering feedback and contributions that help shape the future of Thunderbird. Your insights will drive the evolution of the product as it transitions from a single application to a suite of privacy-respecting productivity tools.
