Overview
Mytos is hiring a Senior Product Designer to redefine the future of biotech labs. You'll be responsible for all aspects of design, from research to pixel-perfect UI. This role requires experience in design systems and user interface design.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in product design, with a focus on user experience and interface design — you've successfully led design projects from concept to execution, ensuring that user needs are met while aligning with business goals. Your expertise in design tools like Figma allows you to create high-fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate your vision to stakeholders.
As a creative thinker, you excel at conducting user research and usability testing — you understand the importance of gathering user feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on your work. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to ensure that designs are feasible and aligned with technical constraints.
You have experience in defining and implementing design systems — you understand how to create cohesive visual languages that enhance user experience across products. Your attention to detail ensures that every pixel is perfect, and you take pride in delivering high-quality design work that meets user needs.
You are passionate about the biotech industry and its potential to change lives — you are excited about the opportunity to work on products that have a meaningful impact on healthcare and research. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to take on the challenges of a startup.
Desirable
Experience in the biotech or healthcare sector is a plus, as it gives you a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by users in this field. Familiarity with hardware interactions and how they integrate with software design will also be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
As the founding member of the Design team at Mytos, you will take charge of all aspects of design — from conducting user research to concepting and testing your ideas. You will work closely with scientists and engineers to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive software interfaces that enhance their workflows. Your role will involve creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that guide the development process.
You will define the design systems used across the company, ensuring consistency and usability in all products. Your work will involve collaborating with product managers to prioritize features and ensure that user feedback is incorporated into the design process. You will also be responsible for conducting usability tests and iterating on designs based on user feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
In addition to your design responsibilities, you will play a key role in shaping the culture of the design team — you will mentor junior designers and help establish best practices for design processes within the company. Your contributions will directly impact how scientists interact with our products, ultimately helping to accelerate research and bring cures to patients sooner.
What we offer
At Mytos, you will be part of a mission-driven team that is dedicated to transforming the biotech industry. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will have the chance to work alongside a talented team of engineers and scientists, contributing to projects that have the potential to change lives.
We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — we value diverse perspectives and are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow with us. Join us in our mission to redefine the future of biotech labs and make a meaningful impact in the world of healthcare.
