You are a highly motivated and experienced data leader with a strong technical background — you have a proven track record in executing complex data science projects and transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business strategy. You possess deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analysis, and you are comfortable working both as an individual contributor and in a leadership capacity. You understand the importance of data infrastructure and have experience partnering with engineering teams to build robust data pipelines and analytics tools.

You have excellent communication skills and can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders — you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mentoring team members to help them grow in their careers. You are passionate about leveraging data to empower decision-making and drive innovation within the organization. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of a fast-paced startup environment, always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead and grow the Data Team at Nabis, setting the strategic vision for the department's data capabilities — you will directly execute complex end-to-end data science projects, including statistical modeling and predictive analysis, ensuring that the insights generated are aligned with business objectives. You will partner with the Engineering and IT teams to define requirements for data infrastructure and, where necessary, personally build and maintain robust data pipelines and analytics tools to support the team's work.

You will establish and enforce technical best practices for data quality assurance, ensuring that the data used for analysis is accurate and reliable. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Data Team. Your contributions will be instrumental in transforming how Nabis utilizes data to drive business strategy and product development, ultimately empowering the world to discover cannabis through innovative technology solutions.
