Who you are

You have 7+ years of professional JavaScript development experience, and your expertise in frontend frameworks like React, Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember allows you to build engaging consumer-facing applications. You understand the full development life cycle and have a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, which you apply to your work every day. Your experience includes developing applications that consume various APIs from a microservice backend system, and you are comfortable defining APIs for new features in collaboration with backend leads. Mentoring other engineers is something you enjoy, as you believe in sharing knowledge and fostering growth within your team.

You hold a BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or have equivalent frontend engineering experience. Your background has equipped you with the skills to contribute to overall frontend architecture and development experience, ensuring that the products you build are not only functional but also user-friendly. You are passionate about creating seamless post-purchase experiences that drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Desirable

Having full-stack experience, particularly with Ruby on Rails, is a bonus that would enhance your candidacy. You are eager to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions can make a significant impact on the customer journey.

What you'll do

In this role, you will implement new product features and support or extend existing ones, ensuring that the products you develop power the post-purchase experience for some of the biggest brands in the retail industry. You will build frontend platform components that are leveraged across both internal and external products, contributing to a cohesive user experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with other senior frontend engineers to enhance the overall frontend architecture and development experience.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical specifications. Your role will also involve participating in code reviews, where you will provide constructive feedback to your peers and help maintain high code quality standards. As you mentor junior engineers, you will share your knowledge and best practices, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the team.
