You have extensive experience in data center operations, ensuring the availability and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure. Your hands-on expertise allows you to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents effectively, minimizing downtime and impact on services. You are familiar with data center infrastructure management, including power, cooling, and hardware systems, and you understand the importance of safety and compliance standards in a data center environment.

You thrive in a 24×7 operational setting and are comfortable acting as a technical escalation point for on-shift issues. Your ability to monitor systems and respond to alarms using DCIM/BMS tools is second nature to you. You also have experience leading maintenance and infrastructure changes, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

You enjoy mentoring junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with facilities, network, and engineering teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed about ongoing operations and incidents.

Desirable

Experience with incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) is a plus, as is familiarity with documentation practices in a technical environment. You may also have certifications related to data center operations or networking, which would further enhance your qualifications for this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Center Technician at Nebius AI, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring that all systems are operational and reliable. You will operate and maintain critical infrastructure components, including power systems, cooling units, racks, and hardware. Your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving complex incidents to minimize service impact, and you will lead maintenance activities, installations, and infrastructure changes as needed.

You will serve as a technical escalation point for on-shift issues, providing guidance and support to junior technicians. Monitoring systems via DCIM/BMS will be a key part of your responsibilities, and you will respond promptly to alarms and alerts to ensure the safety and security of the data center environment.

Participating in incident response efforts and conducting root cause analysis will be essential to your role, as you will help document incidents and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences. You will enforce safety, security, and compliance standards, ensuring that all operations adhere to industry best practices.
