Who you are

You have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating a strong knowledge of C++. You possess a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures, which allows you to tackle complex problems effectively. Your background includes working with virtualization technologies such as virtio-blk and virtio-fs, and you are familiar with performance-critical I/O paths. You have experience in networking, particularly high-throughput VM-to-storage transport over TCP and RoCEv2 (RDMA). Your expertise extends to storage systems, including replication, consensus, self-healing, and data migration, making you well-equipped to contribute to Nebius' innovative projects.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Storage Virtualization Team, you will be responsible for building a distributed, fault-tolerant storage system for Nebius’ hyperscaler cloud. You will work on high-performance block and filesystem storage that delivers sub-millisecond latency and millions of IOPS, even in the face of hardware failures. Your role will involve collaborating with a team of skilled engineers to design and implement robust storage solutions that meet the demands of the AI economy. You will also engage in performance optimization and troubleshooting, ensuring that the storage systems operate efficiently and reliably. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Nebius' cloud infrastructure, enabling customers to solve real-world challenges without the need for massive infrastructure costs.
