Who you are
5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on building storage systems — you've designed and optimized high-performance, reliable, and scalable distributed storage solutions that support demanding workloads. Your expertise in system design and architecture allows you to propose innovative strategies to enhance performance and throughput.
Deep knowledge of cloud computing and distributed systems — you understand the intricacies of building multi-petabyte cloud storage platforms and have experience with file, block, and object storage products. You thrive in environments where you can contribute to the development of foundational storage products tailored for AI and ML workloads.
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach — you enjoy tackling high-velocity challenges and have a track record of building observability, metrics, and tooling for services and fleets. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams ensures that you can drive meaningful innovation in cloud infrastructure.
What you'll do
Join Crusoe's core engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer on the storage team, where you'll be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing next-generation cloud storage products. You'll work on core components of our foundational storage products, focusing on high-performance solutions for AI and ML workloads.
Your role will involve contributing to the development of distributed file, block, and object storage products, with an emphasis on filesystem-based solutions. You'll design and implement high-performance, scalable, and resilient storage architectures that are highly extensible, ensuring that our infrastructure meets the needs of our customers.
In addition to building storage systems, you'll propose and prototype novel strategies to scale performance and system throughput for our most demanding customer workloads. You'll also be responsible for building observability, metrics, and tooling for our services and fleet, enabling us to maintain high reliability and performance.
