NEORIS is seeking a Junior COBOL Developer to participate in the development and maintenance of COBOL programs within the Altamira environment. You'll work with COBOL, JCL, and DB2 in a hybrid setup in Mexico City.
Job Description
Who you are
You have at least 2 years of experience in COBOL development, with a solid understanding of data structures and batch processes. Your educational background includes a degree in systems engineering or a related field, and you are eager to learn and grow in a multicultural environment. You possess basic knowledge or initial experience with JCL, DB2, and mainframe environments (z/OS), which will help you navigate the technical landscape of this role. You are capable of reading and comprehending technical specifications, ensuring that you can effectively contribute to the development process.
Desirable
Familiarity with Core Altamira or similar banking systems is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to integrate into the team and contribute to ongoing projects. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality code, and you thrive in collaborative settings where you can work alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will participate in the development and maintenance of COBOL programs within the Altamira environment, ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently.
