NEORIS is hiring a COBOL Developer to participate in the development and maintenance of COBOL programs within the Altamira environment. You'll work with COBOL, JCL, and DB2 in a multicultural team. This position requires experience in mainframe environments.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience as a COBOL Developer, with a solid understanding of COBOL, JCL, and DB2. You are familiar with mainframe environments, particularly z/OS, and have a grasp of data structures and basic financial operations. Your ability to read and comprehend technical specifications allows you to effectively contribute to the development process.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys participating in team meetings and following established methodologies, whether agile or traditional. Your attention to detail ensures that you conduct thorough unit and integration testing, maintaining high code quality before delivery.
What you'll do
In this role, you will actively participate in the development and maintenance of COBOL programs within the Altamira environment. You will analyze functional and technical specifications provided by analysts or technical leads, ensuring that your contributions align with project goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and collaborating on incident resolution and application support in production.
You will document your developments according to internal project standards, contributing to the overall knowledge base of the team. Your participation in team meetings will help foster a collaborative environment where best practices are shared and followed.
