Who you are

You have a strong background in data architecture and engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in designing end-to-end data solutions. You are skilled in defining target architectures and have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and security in data management. Your expertise includes making critical decisions regarding data partitioning, optimization, and governance, which are essential for successful data solutions.

You are familiar with the Lakehouse model and have experience in migrating data warehouses to this architecture. You understand the importance of data products and have a proven track record of implementing reusable patterns and technical guardrails across various domains. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective leader in cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define the target architecture for data solutions, focusing on key components such as medallion architecture and data products. You will lead the strategy for implementation in waves, prioritizing tasks and managing dependencies to ensure timely delivery. You will make critical architectural decisions regarding Delta Lake, including partitioning strategies and change data capture (CDC) techniques, to optimize performance and scalability.

You will also be responsible for defining security strategies and governance frameworks for data platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your role will involve collaborating with data teams to establish a clear Definition of Done, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. You will participate in the migration of existing data warehouses to the Lakehouse architecture, leveraging your expertise in Apache Spark and Unity Catalog to enhance performance and data accessibility.
