Netflix is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Consumer Identity & Access team to lead the development of resilient infrastructure for streaming, Ads, and Games products. You'll work with technologies like Java and AWS, and this position requires experience in authorization technologies.

Who you are
You are an inclusive leader with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing diverse teams. You have domain knowledge in consumer identity and experience in authorization technologies such as ABAC, RBAC, and policy engines that can be applied to this space. You possess extensive technical expertise in backend infrastructure and platforms, understanding how to build for scale and business impact. You have a proven history of taking innovative projects from concept to production, demonstrating your ability to lead through challenges while building high-scale, low-latency applications. You are a proactive communicator with great judgment and a bias towards action, and you celebrate diversity, recognizing that it builds stronger teams.
Desirable
Experience with cloud services and familiarity with microservices architecture would be beneficial. A background in leading remote teams is also a plus, as you will be managing a dynamic team of local and remote engineers.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the Consumer Authorization team, driving the development and innovation of our infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with product teams to ensure that access policies enable seamless experiences across our streaming, Ads, and Games products. Your role will involve mentoring engineers, fostering a culture of inclusivity, and ensuring that the team is aligned with Netflix's mission to entertain the world. You will also be responsible for overseeing the technical direction of projects, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
