Who you are
You have extensive experience in production management, particularly within the live-action sector in Japan. Your proactive nature and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities make you an ideal candidate for this demanding role. You possess strong organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of production are handled efficiently. Your knowledge of the Japanese production landscape allows you to establish and maintain relationships with producers and production companies effectively.
You are self-motivated and quick-thinking, able to pivot when necessary to adapt to the fast-paced environment of production management. Your experience includes reviewing budgets and guiding producers in best practices, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with creative teams, VFX, and post-production to deliver high-quality content.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage both internal and third-party co-productions for Netflix Original titles, focusing on physical production aspects. You will be responsible for establishing and curating relationships with producers and production companies, reviewing initial budgets, and providing guidance on production practices. Your role will require you to work closely with various internal teams, including Creative and VFX, to ensure that all projects are delivered efficiently and meet Netflix's high standards.
You will review creative scripts and begin defining budgets, encouraging producers to take an active role in the budgeting process. Your ability to exercise good judgment and initiative will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of production management. You will also be expected to support and suggest best practices throughout the production process, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards common goals.
