You are an experienced sound professional with a deep understanding of the Japanese film and television sound ecosystem. You have a passion for elevating sound workflows and are eager to contribute to Netflix's original productions in Japan. Your expertise allows you to provide practical, production-grounded guidance based on Netflix specifications and best practices. You thrive in collaborative environments, working directly with productions, sound crews, and internal partners across production, post-production, and distribution.
You possess strong communication skills and can effectively consult on workflows while supporting productions from capture through delivery. Your ability to explore opportunities for innovation in sound and imaging workflows is essential, as you aim to help evolve industry standards while preserving creative intent. What you'll do
In this role, you will work closely with the Production Technology team to set technical requirements and best practices for sound in Netflix productions. You will consult with sound crews and post facilities, ensuring that workflows are efficient and aligned with Netflix's high standards. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance on sound capture techniques, post-production processes, and delivery methods, all while maintaining a focus on creative intent.
You will actively participate in discussions with internal partners to identify opportunities for innovation in sound workflows. Your insights will help shape the technical direction of sound production at Netflix, ensuring that the unique needs of the Japanese market are met. You will also be involved in training and mentoring sound professionals, sharing your knowledge and expertise to elevate the overall quality of sound in Netflix productions.
