You are familiar with cloud platforms like AWS and have a basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of monitoring and optimizing machine learning models throughout their lifecycle. Desirable

Experience with TensorFlow or similar frameworks is a plus, as is any exposure to machine learning lifecycle management. Familiarity with data pipelines and model serving architectures will help you succeed in this role. What you'll do

In this role, you will help build and maintain the infrastructure that trains, serves, and monitors machine learning models for NewsBreak's Ads and Recommendations products. You will work closely with a small, high-ownership team to implement platform improvements that enhance model performance and reduce latency. Your responsibilities will include optimizing the training process to make it faster and more reliable, as well as improving the serving performance of models to ensure they deliver accurate and timely recommendations.

You will collaborate with product and data teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. This will involve working across the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data preprocessing to model deployment. You will also be responsible for monitoring model performance and implementing strategies to keep models fresh and consistent between offline and online use.

As part of your role, you will engage in code reviews and contribute to the team's best practices for machine learning development. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and participate in discussions about architecture and design decisions. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience for millions of NewsBreak users, making your work both challenging and rewarding.

What we offer

At NewsBreak, we offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $175,000 USD annually, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
