You have a proven track record in product management, particularly in educational technology, with experience in leading product strategy and execution. Your ability to bridge academic credibility with market insights allows you to optimize product portfolios effectively. You are data-driven, using metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement in product performance.

You possess strong leadership skills, having successfully managed cross-functional teams and collaborated with various stakeholders, including finance and sales operations. Your strategic mindset enables you to align product goals with business objectives, ensuring that both learning impact and revenue growth are achieved.

You are adept at monitoring product health and usage metrics, utilizing data to inform your decisions and strategies. Your experience in managing the full product lifecycle—from market assessment to product launch—equips you to handle the complexities of product management in a dynamic environment.

Desirable

Experience in educational products or platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with formative assessments and supplemental learning tools. A background in analytics or data science would enhance your ability to interpret product performance metrics effectively.

What you'll do

As the Director of the Supplemental and Assessment Portfolio, you will own the product strategy for the Formative and Newsela supplemental platforms. This includes defining and managing the product roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with both market needs and organizational goals. You will lead the translation of product strategy into actionable plans that the customer team can implement, focusing on forecasting and renewal strategies.

You will partner with product analytics to review dashboards and make data-driven decisions, participating in monthly business reviews to track product usage and performance. Your role will involve optimizing the balance between learning impact and revenue growth, ensuring that the products deliver measurable outcomes for educators and students alike.

You will also collaborate closely with the Chief Product Officer and other senior leaders to inform annual planning and forecasting, ensuring that the product portfolio remains aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of the supplemental portfolio, making a significant impact on the educational landscape.

Newsela offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $165,000—$175,000 USD, along with incentive stock options and bonus potential.
