Who you are

You are a seasoned automation engineer with over 5 years of experience in building automated systems and tests for both front-end UI and backend services. Your strong testing background enables you to effectively test all aspects of distributed systems, ensuring high-quality deliverables. You have a solid understanding of API development and automation, and you are comfortable working with databases to validate data integrity. You thrive in a collaborative environment, contributing to cross-functional Scrum teams and providing valuable input during the development of new features.

You possess expertise in programming languages such as Java and Python, which you utilize to create robust automation test suites. Your experience with tools like Selenium allows you to automate manual testing processes efficiently. You are familiar with REST APIs and have a good grasp of SQL for database interactions, enabling you to check data in applications and databases seamlessly. You are proactive in maintaining and expanding automated testing frameworks, ensuring they evolve with the product's needs.

Desirable

Experience with cloud technologies and integration testing is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices. You are adaptable and open to learning new tools and technologies that can enhance your automation capabilities. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders ensures that you can advocate for best practices in testing and automation.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing API, automation, and integration tests for cloud-scale products. You will run manual tests and build automation test suites for regression and new features, ensuring that all aspects of the application are thoroughly tested. Your work will involve checking data in applications and databases, automating deployment processes, and generating test data to support testing efforts. You will also maintain and expand the automated testing framework, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the product.

As part of a cross-functional Scrum team, you will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to provide input on the correct behavior of the system. You will follow and execute on team-specified “done” criteria, ensuring that all features meet the highest quality standards before release. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the product, as you help identify and resolve issues early in the development process.
