Nuro is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer Intern to develop software for low-level and mid-layer RTOS. You'll work closely with autonomy software engineers and utilize your strong C or C++ programming skills. This internship is ideal for students graduating in or before December 2027.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a graduation date in or before December 2027. You possess strong programming skills in C or C++, and have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, and algorithm design. Your knowledge of operating system internals, such as kernel or driver knowledge, sets you apart. You are a problem solver with excellent debugging skills, and you communicate and collaborate effectively with others.
Desirable
If you are an MS or PhD student, that would be a plus. You are proficient with real-time operating systems and real-time applications, and have experience in device driver development. Familiarity with CAN, SPI, and networking protocols, as well as knowledge of vehicle functions, vehicle dynamics, and controls theories, would be advantageous.
What you'll do
As an Embedded Software Engineer Intern at Nuro, you will develop software for low-level and mid-layer real-time operating systems (RTOS). You will also create tools for data and statistics collection and analysis, ensuring that you meet project timelines while collaborating closely with autonomy software engineers. Your role will involve hands-on coding and problem-solving, contributing to the development of cutting-edge self-driving technology.
